Official opening of Shout Ridge apartments

It was a flawless Spring evening for the official opening of Shout Ridge apartments at Crimson Hill.

DHA hosted approximately 70 guests including new owners, Defence tenants, staff and contractors, at an informal cocktail soiree held on the lawns overlooking the stunning Lane Cove National Park.

Peter Shellie, Crimson Hill Development Manager, officiated proceedings, warmly welcoming guests and proudly boasting about the project’s 6 Star Green Star rating, the first of its kind awarded by the Green Buildings Council Australia.

Mike Askey, President of the Roseville RSL sub-branch shared a few words about the project’s namesake, Alfred John Shout VC, before joining forces with Roseville Memorial Club President, John Whitworth, to unveil the official building plaque in recognition of the Victoria Cross recipient.

It was a stirring moment, amplified by a Kookaburra perched high in the tree above, who decided to vociferously call to his mate mid-speech, much to the gathering’s amusement.

Guests mingled happily for the remainder of the night, meeting fellow neighbours and their furry four legged friends and inspecting the new two bed apartment which is currently on display.
